Sooners D Needs to Watch Out: The Gators Are on a Different Level

Ready to have your mind blown?

Florida is the best offense OU will face all year.

Pick the beer back up; you're not drunk and seeing things that never happened.  Yes, you read it correct; Florida is the best offense OU will face all year.  Did it sink in?  How can this be possible?  The Sooners faced Texas and Texas Tech!

Maybe those two teams should learn to score.  Florida is ranked third in the nation in scoring at 45.15 points per game behind ridiculous OU and inflated Tulsa and ahead of Oklahoma State, Texas, Texas Tech, and Missouri.

Want something more impressive?  Florida averaged 40.375 points per game against defenses ranked higher than the Sooners and 42.43 points per game against teams ranked in the top 50 in scoring defense (The discrepancy is thanks to the Hurricanes. Miami's D ranked 54th, but they held the Gators to 26 points, the lowest point total for the Gators all season).

Get ready Sooners, on Jan. 8 you get to face the scariest offense you've seen all year.

Note this article is written mostly in fun.  There is less than one point separating Florida from T–Tech in scoring offense.  Texas and Missouri are right there too.
