Chargers-Colts: San Diego Will Wear Powder Blue To Open Playoffs

Ian PhilipAnalyst IIIJanuary 1, 2009

Charger fans have one more reason to rejoice come Saturday January 3rd, 2009.  The Chargers will be looking to leave Peyton Manning with the "Powder Blues."

According to Jay Paris of the North County Times:

The Chargers will don their alternate powder blue uniforms Saturday night—but just barely.

After the team wore them on Dec. 4 against the Raiders, the uniforms were sent to the NFL offices to be auctioned in a fund-raising effort. But before the first bid, the Chargers were able to secure them.

With Peyton Manning and the Colts coming to town, the Bolts will take any edge they can get.  The Chargers will be looking for their eighth-straight victory wearing powder blue.
