NFL Picks Week 15: 5 Picks Against the Spread

BR StudiosFeatured ColumnistDecember 15, 2011

Making picks against the spread is far from an exact science, but by Week 15 of the NFL season, certain trends have developed that give bettors who do their research an advantage over the casual fan. Below are five games that should give bettors a pretty good chance to make some money.

Green Bay Packers vs. Kansas City Chiefs

The Packers are the NFL's elite team, but they could cause some problems for bettors over the season's final few weeks if Mike McCarthy decides to bench the starters. That shouldn't be a problem this week against the Chiefs.

Tennessee Titans vs. Indianapolis Colts

The Colts have played terribly at home and are facing a desperate Tennessee Titans team. Take Tennessee, Matt Hasselbeck or not, all day long at minus-6.5.

New England Patriots vs. Denver Broncos

The Patriots and Tebow are squaring off in Denver on Sunday, one of Week 15's marquee matchups. If the trends hold true to form, Tebow's magic will run out against New England.

Carolina Panthers vs. Houston Texans

The Panthers won't be able to cover 6.5 points against the 10-3 Houston Texans.

New York Jets vs. Philadelphia Eagles

The Eagles should take care of business as three-point dogs to the Jets. Eagles' money line could have some value as well, depending what the juice is at kickoff.
