Corey Trivino, the 21-year-old hockey star from the University of Boston, is facing charges of indecent assault and battery after being arrested on Sunday night, according to a report by Art Jahnke of the university's newspaper.

According to the report, Trivino entered a female student's room and attempted to grope and kiss her. He pleaded not guilty to all the charges. It also says that he was intoxicated at the time of his arrest.

Trivino had a talented future as a hockey player. He was a second-round pick of the New York Islanders in the 2008 NHL Draft. He was one of the most skilled players on a Boston team that is always loaded with talent.

But if these charges hold up and Trivino ends up serving jail time, his career prospects are likely over. Even if he doesn't go to prison, his checkered past is going to scare a lot of NHL teams away. He might be able to find work with one of the lower-level professional leagues, but it is going to be difficult for him to reach that brass ring.

Trivino's attitude has been a problem for him throughout his college career. He was suspended after the 2010 season for being intoxicated and showing up late to mandated bike rides that were supposed to serve as punishment.

It is sad to see talented athletes fall apart because of their own stupidity, and Trivino had a world of untapped talent that will never be seen now. It's not impossible for him to come back from this, but it is going to take a lot of effort on his part, and he does not seem to be interested in making that effort.

Let's just hope that this whole ugly mess serves as a wake-up call for Trivino because he is still just 21 years old, and that we have seen the worst from him.
