In 1998, on December 13th, the 5-8 Giants welcomed the 13-0 Broncos.

Mike Shanahan and the '98 Broncos were no Colts, they wanted 19-0 and they played the whole game with heart and passion.

With 48 seconds remaining, perfection was killed and Kent Graham, who was starting his fourth game that year, found Toomer in the end zone.

Giants 20, Broncos 16.

Now, tell me if all this doesn't seem eerily similar...

On December 18th of this year, the 13-0 Packers will be visiting the Chiefs in Kansas City. The Chiefs stand at 5-8 and Tyler Palko may be getting his fifth start of the season.

The Packers will have to start all of their players without option; the '98 Broncos could have rested.

But that seems to be the only key difference in the matchup. Perhaps the Chiefs are more inept, and perhaps the Packers are more explosive, but look at that betting line and throw a dime on the Chiefs.

History repeating itself isn't new, might not be science but it's pretty consistent.
