HM No. 3 = Mark Webber starting on the front row of the grid for Red Bull during the British Grand Prix in very wet and foggy conditions.
He then spins out in front of the entire field while the pack runs down the Hanger Straight and shockingly nobody hits him.

HM No. 2 = Timo Glock huge crash during the Germany Grand Prix. When Glock's suspension broke, it sent him flying across the track and into the hard pit wall. This set up the rest of the rest with Hamilton and Piquet Jr. both forced to take weird pit strategies putting Piquet in the lead with a couple laps to go and Hamilton needing to fight back for the win.

HM No. 1 = Massa's Blow Up
After having an amazing start off the line in Hungary, Felipe Mass had dominated the Hungarian Grand Prix. Then three laps from the finish his engine expired giving Heikki Kovalainen his first career win.

Nelson Piquet Jr. spins out of the race just a lap after teammate Fernando Alonzo pitted his car. The crash of the spin was not too spectacular but it changed the completion of the race.

Felipe's Massa's Ferrari was never seen again, Williams Nico Rosberg got an unexpected podium result and Alonzo won the race for Renault.

Felipe Massa taps David Coulthard into turn one as Massa tried to climb back though the field after spinning out on the first lap on the grand prix. After Massa's car touched Coulthard's it seemed to explode as multiple pieces started to fall off of it.

This raised the early season controversy on whether this car has passed the FIA crash tests.

Coulthard then talked to Louise Goodman for ITV were he said, "Felipe better apologize for doing that, or else I'm going to kick three colours of shit out of him."

No. 8 Lap 30 Malaysian Grand Prix

This was the turning point for Felipe Massa's campaign. After loosing the lead in the pits to teammate Kimi Raikkonen, he spun out of the race and into the sand-trap. This actually set Massa back onto the right foot for the remainder of the season.

In my opinion though, this spin by Massa, cost him eight points and this is what cost him the 2008 Drivers Championship.

No. 7 Lap 30 of the Malaysian Grand Prix

This was the lap when Felipe Massa spun out of second place in the Malaysian Grand Prix. After losing the lead the teammate Kimi Raikkonen in the pits, he promptly lost control of his car out of frustration in into retirement.

This moment did two things for Massa. It turned his season around and it cost him the championship. He got a lot of bad press after the race and rebounded by winning the following race.

This was moment cost him the championship because he lost out on eight valuable points, which would have won him the Championship

No. 6 Lap 1 & 2 of the Japanese Grand Prix

Lewis Hamilton started on the pole position beside Raikkonen and had a slow start as got a full car length in front of him. Hamilton then braked late into the corner sliding beside Raikkonen and forcing several cars to go off including Raikkonen, Massa and Kovalainen.

Kubica and Alonzo took full advantage of this situation as they jumped to the two lead positions.

Meanwhile, Couthard bounced off both Sébastien Bourdais and Piquet Jr. breaking his suspention and sending him into the wall in a huge impact.

After lap one, it was Kubica, Alonzo, Kovalainen, Truilli, Massa and then Hamilton.

In turn 10, Massa went too far wide and Hamilton attempted to pass him. So Massa cut the corner and slid into the read of Hamilton ending any chances of points for Hamilton as he fell to the back of the pack.

Then Hamilton came up and hit him in the rear as he didn't see that the light was red. Both Hamilton and Raikkonen retired from the racing leading to a one-two finish for BMW with Robert Kubica leading the charge.

No. 4 = Heifeld Special

Heifeld makes two incredible passes during the British Grand Prix at Silverstone. First he takes both Glock and Alonzo on the outside of the final turn, right after his pit stop and then on the same stint, he does the same with both Heikki Kovalainen and Kimi Raikkonen.

All adding up to a supreme second place finish.

Anything can happen at Spa, and after a near dull race at Spa, it did.

It started to rain on the track with just three laps remaining.

Everyone stayed out on dry tyres except Heifeld.

Hamilton closed in on Raikkonen and passed him for the lead in the final corner. But cut the corner and was forced to give it back. By the following corner, Hamilton had sliced back to the lead by finding his way underneath Raikkonen.

Then Rosberg went off right in front of Hamilton who was forced to take evasive action, as Raikkonen went back to the lead. Who then did a 360 at the next corner, giving it back to Hamilton. Raikkonen tried to catch back up to Hamilton, but touched a painted corner and spun into the wall.

Alonzo then came into the pits with a lap to go to for intermediates.

Both he and Heifeld then passed just about all the cars in front of them except Massa and Hamilton to finish fourth and third respectfully.

Hamilton drove the car on the edge for the final lap and won the race.

Hamilton running fifth during the final race of the championship, when race begins to fall. He comes in for tyres along with Vettel. He maintains his position, but thanks to Kubica un-lapping himself, Hamilton is forced wide as Vettel passes him and slides down to sixth.

Hamilton is desperate to finish in fifth place as his championship rival Massa was leading and winning the Grand Prix.

Finally in the last corner of the last lap, Hamilton passed the struggling Glock to finish the race in fifth place, thus winning the championship and becoming the youngest world champion.
