I don't think that the San Francisco 49ers really should be too worried with their performance against the Arizona Cardinals this afternoon. It was a trap game in every possible way and good teams are bound to have that happen once over the course of the season.
Still, you have to wonder how the 49ers offense laid an egg against the Arizona Cardinals today. The offensive line was horrible and Alex Smith didn't get much help from his receivers. His scramble on the last offensive play of the game should have resulted in a first down, but Kendall Hunter dropped the pass.
I would conclude that the 49ers issues are more magnified a long the offensive side of the ball right now. They didn't have Patrick Willis on defense and it showed. One red zone touchdown and the 49ers would have came away winners today. That is where the issues are as this team looks forward to the playoffs. They will not compete against the Packers or Saints with a futile red zone offense that we have seen.
