Are We Going to See a Manning Clash in the Super Bowl?

Mike KentSenior Writer IDecember 29, 2008

The Manning brothers have shown the world that they are on the top QB's in football list and both their teams are going to the playoffs. So maybe the teams could meet each other in the Super Bowl. That would be one of the coolest events in football history .

The Giants are the number one seed and therefore have the first round bye. They also play the team with the worst record in the NFC so it should be easy. All they need is to win two games to get to the Super Bowl. That may be easier said than done, but the Giants faced harder situations than this last year when they won the Super Bowl.

The Colts had a bad start this season, but they got it together and now Payton Manning is a contender for the MVP. The Colts are the No. 5 seed so they will need to beat some of the best teams in the AFC. However, this week they will play the Chargers and this will be one of the easier games they will have in the playoffs. The Colts played the Titans last week and even though both teams did not try their hardest, it did mean something.

The Manning brothers each won a Super Bowl in the last two seasons so if they both make it to the Super Bowl they can ensure that the Super Bowl rings stay in the family. We know that if they both make it to the Super Bowl it will be a great game of two of the best teams in football.
