And it’s not the fact that the Titans were actually up on the Saints or that the two teams have combined for less than 20 points at of the end of the third quarter.
During halftime, the cheerleaders were going through their routines on the field and wearing Christmas- themed clothing.
A man dressed as Santa Claus with the full suit, beard and hat on was out there with him and no one really suspected anything of it and it seemed to fit in with the show.
But soon enough, Santa ripped off his hat and beard and revealed himself as one of the cheerleaders boyfriends.
He got down on one knee and presented her a ring and asked for her hand in marriage.
She said yes and they will have quite a cool story to tell their family and kids now about how they got engaged.
This isn’t the first time a cheerleader has gotten proposed to on the gridiron, as you may remember Ian Johnson of the Boise State Broncos, who asked to marry his cheering girlfriend after scoring the game winning two-point conversion in overtime of the Fiesta Bowl against the Oklahoma Sooners.
But it may be the first time an average Joe got engaged to a cheerleader during an NFL game.
Kudos to this guy for having the stones to pull this off, and luckily for him, she didn’t say no.
