Apparently, Briggs will be "frickin' pissed" if he loses to Tim Tebow.
Well, Lance, I hate to give it to you this way, but you're about to be really upset on Sunday night.
It might not be Briggs himself that causes Chicago to lose to Tebow. But someone on that team will be the reason for it.
So far, Tebow and company have not faced a high-powered NFL defense during their win streak. At least that's what I'm told.
Oh wait, they did beat the No. 8 ranked overall defense just a few weeks back on national television. You know, the New York Jets.
I've heard all the garbage about how difficult it will be for Denver and this "gimmick" of an offense to triumph against the veteran defensemen of the Bears.
But not only did they manage to prevail against the Jets, they put up 35 points on the Vikings just last week.
The Vikings didn't boast a great passing defense coming into that game—they were ranked 29th.
They did come in with the eighth ranked rushing defense.
And as it turns out, eighth is just high enough to still allow Willis McGahee his sixth 100-yard game this season.
We all know Chicago's offense won't be too much of a factor on Sunday. They should have been, and would have been were it not for so many injuries.
A losing team.
Both of these teams sit at a record of 7-5 and need this win just as much as any other to keep their hopes for a playoff berth alive. Only one team will walk away with it.
And that team, without a doubt, will be the Denver Broncos.
Don't expect a high-flying air show, the Broncos will save that for the following week with the Patriots.
Instead, this game looks to be a brutal fight in the trenches. Whichever team manages to get in the end zone first will most likely win this game.
Just so long as that same team doesn't stay only seven points ahead until the fourth quarter and doesn't employ Tim Tebow.
Low-scoring games are a veritable trademark for this Denver Broncos squad in 2011. That trend doesn't look to be broken from this week.
Chicago Bears 13, Denver Broncos 17
