What is the Future of Alabama Football?

L.C. MayCorrespondent IDecember 28, 2008

In the 2008 season of the Alabama Crimson Tide, Nick Saban has already turned some heads, as he was able to coach an undefeated regular season team and lead the to the SEC Championship.

Most people are waiting until after the Sugar Bowl to talk about the Tide's next season, and I can see why with a great BCS buster such as Utah.

But you can't help but wonder what in store for the Tide next year. Will they go undefeated? Will they go to the SEC championship? Will they win the National Championship?

These are all the questions running through people's minds right now. Now the University of Alabama has confirmed that Alabama will start the season off in the Georgia Dome against Virginia Tech.

This should be a hard game for Alabama, but it will also be a great game. Now in my opinion, Alabama is one of the top candidates to win the national title next year.

Yeah they lose three-year starter John Parker Wilson but you have Greg McElroy, Star Jackson, and a good quarterback recruit coming out of Mobile.

So you have to think about all these things as the players hang up there cleats till the 2009 season. Also in my opinion, Alabama is going to officially be back next year.

But you never know with college football like it nowadays!
