Due to the second week of no internet because of moving, I have no intro. However, I did go 5-1 last week so maybe I don’t need one. #superstitious
Philadelphia +3 @ Miami – This is a game nobody really cares about. I’ve cashed in on Miami a few times these past few weeks when they were flying under the radar. Now, it’s time to jump off the cash cow and onto the dumpster fire that is the Philadelphia Eagles. I have a sixth sense that Miami will lose this game just like I have a sense that Parks and Recreation will get cancelled like Community (RIP) and television will be dominated by Whitney Cummings humor.
Cincinnati – 3 vs Houston – The Bengals are fighting for their playoff lives. This game sets up nicely for them. They’ve been pretty bad over the last month against great competition. All they have to do is stop the run. It’s at home in December against a team starting T.J. Yates. I think they step it up here.
Carolina +3 vs Atlanta – This is a trap game for the Falcons. Think Carolina gets the win straight up at home. The Falcons are reaching NY Giants type bi-polar activity each week but I’m thinking it goes down to the final minutes.
New Orleans -3.5 @ Tennessee – The Saints will always a popular play but don’t see a letdown for them as they try to gain playoff seeding. Sure, I’m bitter at Chris Johnson for being a fantasy zombie three weeks after I trade him. However, none of those games were against a good run defense and the Titans should be playing from behind most of the day. Bad combination for betting against Drew Brees and co.
Arizona +3.5 vs San Francisco – Easily the boldest pick of the week, I like the Cardinals to give the Niners all they want and then some. I can just see the week after Alex Smith’s extension he lays an egg on the road prompting debates about was it a smart move or not. Like the Panthers game, I like home divisional underdogs late in the year unless decimated by injuries.
Denver -3.5 vs Chicago – I can’t tell you how much pride I have as a Denver fan typing the next sentence. I can’t find a way to back the Bears in this game because I’m not sure how they are going to score. Ahh, that felt nice. Remember last week when I bet on the Chiefs at the Bears for this same reason? They won outright despite one of the worst QB performances in recent memory from T. Palko. Denver should be able to pull out a 7-10 win at minimum against Caleb Hanie and Marion Barber. Denver has too much momentum for the playoffs to be unfocused.
Washington +9 vs New England – I said the Cardinals pick was easily the most bold, I forgot about this one. Something tells me that the Patriots will just be happy getting out of our nation’s capital with a win. I also like Roy Helu playing from behind to keep the Redskins within single digits.
Baltimore -16.5 vs Indianapolis – It’s my BEATDOWN OF THE WEEK! When the Ravens feel like it, they kill people. Not that anyone on the Raven’s would kill anyone. In fact the only thing being killed is people talking about how someone on the Ravens could kill someone. Regardless, the Colts will lose by twenty points this weekend and hopefully Ray Rice scores 11 touchdowns.
