Reggie Evans has chosen to join Chris Paul and the revamped Los Angeles Clippers.

The big man is ferocious when it comes to rebounding, and his new team will need him to do exactly that when his number is called in the second unit.

Although Evans has bounced around the league throughout his career, he's established himself as a reliable contributor on the glass and always brings an intense energy every time he steps out on the court.

He's agreed to a one-year contract worth the veteran's minimum, and it's a really nice addition for the Clippers after an incredible offseason that has transformed the culture of the team.

While Evans probably won't be the difference between winning or losing many games for the Clippers, he is excellent depth on the bench, and he will serve as a replacement (and potential upgrade) over Craig Smith, who signed a contract with Portland.

Despite the Clippers paying a major price to acquire Paul, the team still has an impressive amount of depth on the roster, and that's going to be especially important in a season where reserve players will see regular minutes.

There are some serious expectations being thrust upon the Clippers, and some already have the club ranked ahead of the Lakers for this season and the foreseeable future.

Evans was deciding between a handful of offers before he chose Los Angeles, but he may have found it too difficult to ignore the allure of playing with Paul and Blake Griffin.

Suddenly, the "other" team in Los Angeles may be a very popular free agent destination.
