Rumors & Realities: Heskey to Liverpool, Santa Cruz to Real Madrid?

Rafael Benitez wants an extra striker. The ever-blushed Spaniard is reportedly set to offer £4m for an ex-Liverpool striker.

No, it’s not free agent Robbie Fowler with the latter being at the wrong edge of his career; not to mention that Benitez would not want another striker called Robbie in his squad.

Benitez wants Wigan’s star striker’s partner and ex-Liverpool striker, Emile Heskey.

Heskey is out of contract in the summer and Wigan would want to sell the England striker for a reasonable price, or any price for that matter.

Meanwhile, Benitez would relish the opportunity to buy a striker for his real value this time.

But with all fairness to Robbie Keane, who has been at the receiving end of R-R’s continuous sarcasm, the lad has been doing well in the last couple of matches.

In Madrid, Juande Ramos is making the most out of Real Madrid’s blind trust in him.

Ramos is setting his eyes on extra mega swoops in order to get the Madrid giants back on the right track. R-R knows about Ramos’ wandering eyes since a long time. Poor Mrs. Ramos…

With van Nistelrooy injured, Ramos can use Raul, Higuain, and Saviola with the latter being nominated for a Rumors & Realities 2008 award.

The latest man who is being tracked by Ramos’ wandering eyes is Blackburn’s Roque Santa Cruz.

However, Santa Cruz’s father has denied the reports linking Santa to a post-holiday move to Madrid.

According to an unreliable source, a source close to Santa Cruz replied to the transfer saga by saying: “Santa is not going anywhere. I’m sure he’s staying put, really. That’s what they told me to say. Why are you looking at me like that?”

Real are reportedly set to offer £18m for Santa Cruz. The Paraguayan striker is also a January target for Manchester City who can always add an extra £5m.

Finally, Napoli's Samuele Dalla Bona has issued a "come and get me" plea to West Ham, stating that The Hammers' manager, Gianfranco Zola, is a great man.

Dalla Bona played with Zola at Chelsea and said he would relish the chance to join cash-free West Ham.
