Big East Realignment: Follow the Move Live at 5 O'Clock EST

The Big East wasn't pulling any legs when commissioner John Marinatto announced that a merger could come as soon as Wednesday.

The membership teleconference will be streamed live at 5 p.m. EST, formerly introducing Boise State, Houston, Southern Methodist, Central Florida and San Diego State as 2013 newcomers.

This is big news for college football fans.  Well, at least for UCF, Boise State and the other new kids on the block.

With five other teams leaving for the ACC and Big 12, the already weak Big East would've been completely dismantled with a most likely loss of an automatic-qualifying BCS bid.

The arrival couldn't have come at a better time; let's just hope it can be successful.

Block party, anyone?
