In order to avoid confusion with Andrew Kahn's Packing for Vegas, I have changed the name of my series from "Going to Vegas" to "Beating the Bookies."

Last Saturday, I started off my picking on a low note going, 1-2. Hopefully, today, I can get back some "units" by picking some winners.

Jack McClinton and the University of Miami take on a weak St. John's team today. Although Miami is away in this contest, McClinton is one of the nation's most underrated guards and the Red Storm have no answer to him.

Miami is a dangerous team that can work its way deep into March and they should have no trouble covering four points against one of the weakest teams in the Big East.

New Top 10 arrival Ohio State plays host to West Virginia in today's most anticipated matchup. Ohio State is a very young team that has not yet been challenged.

That changes today, as West Virginia is a team that could very well finish in the upper tier of the Big East. The Mountaineers can definitely put up the points to give Ohio State its first loss.

Miami (-4) 2 Units

West Virginia (+2 1/2) 1 Unit

Season: 1-2 (33%); -2 Units
