The thumb injury to Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler was bad, but the MCL injury to running back Matt Forte is catastrophic. With Chicago losing their two biggest playmakers, the Bears front office is surely feeling the pressure to upgrade at quarterback.
Caleb Hanie, the third-year backup out of Colorado State, is poised to make his third career start in Denver this Sunday. With six interceptions already, it is fair to say that he has struggled.
Could the Bears do any better?
Dan Levy and I kick around the possibilities for Chicago at quarterback, and Dan even brings up You Know Who among other names.
Do you think the Bears might do as well by staying with Hanie? Or should they bring in a hired gun for the homestretch? Tell us what you think in the comments.
