German Soccer Video: Watch Kid Babysit a Beer During Match

Nicholas GossCorrespondent IOctober 24, 2016

They really love their beer in Germany, but something odd happened at a German Bundesliga football match between Schalke and Augsburg on Sunday.

A little boy was seen holding a beer at about the 61-minute mark.

I really hope this kid just took the beer without knowing what it was, and that someone saw it and told him to put it down or just took it from him.

Later in the game the camera shows the same kid with a glass of what appears to be water, while he's eating something.

In Europe they aren't as strict on the drinking age as we are in America, but the legal age to drink in Germany is 16.

This sort of thing is a perfect way to get on television. It's certainly not something you see everyday.

Football matches are really exciting to go to, and many fans treat it like a party, especially when the home team is winning.

Schalke won the game 3-1 to collect three points as they look to continue their climb to the top of the league table.

Schalke is fourth in the league standings, three points behind leaders Bayern Munich.
