The Wenger Way

Many pundits, journalists, and fans are screaming at Arsene Wenger to splash huge amounts of money on bringing in new players during the January transfer window!

Well let me ask you how many trophies and teams have these people put together successfully? I have a feeling the answer would be none!

Le Boss has his own way of buying players. He will only pay what he thinks the player is worth and he wont pay what the selling club thinks he is worth. I think his policy means that Arsenal will pay around £3-4million less per player than most other clubs would fork out for the same player.

A fee of £20 million is being bandied about for Andrei Arshavin, but I can imagine that Wenger will pay around £15 million. The same applies to defensive midfielder Gokhan Inler; Udinese want around £15 million but I expect Arsene will get his man for around £10 million.

A centre back has been talked about for a long time and Wenger looks too have identified his man in Brede Hangeland. A fee of around £6 million would see Fulham cash in on their towering stopper.

So for a total of £32 million Arsene Wenger would solve the problems in his squad.

I would say most managers would be paying a lot more than that for these three players.
