It is the glue that keeps our weekly wrestling programs entertaining and moving forward. I am talking about the angles, or storylines. It is the reason why, details, and all other factors in to any number of characters and the conflict going on.

This doesn’t necessarily mean a feud, many times it can but in other cases, its simply a story.

So I dig into the vault in some cases and attempt to list the top ten best angles in professional wrestling.

10. Bill Goldberg 173-0

The "welcome to WCW" storyline for Bill Goldberg was one that lasted for a year and a half as he won 173 consecutive matches (that included house shows that were not televised) until finally he was beat by Kevin Nash at Starrcade 1998.

I was in attendance for the loss against Nash, and it truly felt like something special. Goldberg had collected the United States title and then the World Heavyweight title, which he took from Hollywood Hulk Hogan who had held the belt for over a year.

9. Tommy Dreamer and Raven childhood foes

Tommy Dreamer and Raven had a running storyline that went on for years. In the true essence of a soap opera, it started with a simple plot of the two hating each other as kids and then settling it in an ECW ring/arena.

In this story, they would bring in old girlfriends and other characters from the past and ultimately giving jobs, and programming for the rising and growing ECW.

In my mind the continuation of this story and the fact that Dreamer could never beat Raven, helped be a reliable piece of entertainment as ECW was aggressively trying to expand through the 90s.

8. Undertaker Vs Undertaker
