Yankee Fans, Don't Listen to Haters

Mike KentSenior Writer IDecember 25, 2008

The New York Yankees have bought themselves one of the best teams in baseball. Most of the other teams and their fans don't like what the Yankees have done with their money.

Mark Attanasio, the Brewers owner, sent an e-mail to Bloomberg News to say that he thinks baseball needs a salary cap. He was also crying about his team only having $220 million while the Yankees got three players for $420 million.

And Yankee fans let what the rest of the world says get to them.  And now the real question: Why?

The Yankees have the right to do whatever they want with their money. The team has earned it because they have great die hard fans give them money by coming to games and buying team memorabilia. They always get great TV ratings because they're a great team and they always win—besides last season.

The Yankees have the numbers and that is why they should not care about what other teams and their fans say about the Yankees. It is mostly coming from jealousy.
