As we enter the final stretch of the season, there are still many teams mathematically in the hunt to make the playoffs.

That list is shortened greatly when you look at it realistically.

There are a few teams who are seeing that light slowly dwindle down each and every loss.

There are even some who can't afford a loss this weekend. It will all but eliminate them from contention.

Here are three teams who will watch their playoff dreams slip away with a loss this weekend.

New York Giants

After a 6-2 start the New York Giants have run into a brick wall.

They have lost control of the NFC East after three straight losses, and could completely fall out of contention with another loss this week.

That's a very strong possibility. The Giants are taking on the undefeated Green Bay Packers in New York this weekend.

This one is going to be a shootout, and as well as Eli Manning is playing, it will be difficult for him to keep up with Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay offense.

Cincinnati Bengals

The Cincinnati Bengals have been one of the big surprises this season in the NFL.

They are currently sitting at a 7-4 record, and if the season ended to day they would be the second wildcard team in the playoffs.

They have been one of the top defenses in the league all season. It's been the primary reason for their success.

Unfortunately, that defense isn't going to be enough for them this weekend against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Andy Dalton and the offense has been efficient, but they won't be able to do enough against this Pittsburgh defense.

Buffalo Bills

After four straight losses the Buffalo Bills are almost out of contention to make a run at the playoffs.

If they can turn things around right now, they still could have a shot at making a run for one of the wild-card spots.

However, that's not likely to happen.

The Bills face a Tennessee Titans team that has really started to put things together in recent weeks.

Momentum is clearly in Tennessee's favor heading into this weekends game. They will continue to ride that momentum killing the playoff dreams for Buffalo.
