Now that we've counted down the top free agents that would be great fits in a Knicks uniform, let's talk about the ones who actually have a pretty good chance of signing with New York for various reasons such as playing in a larger market, a better payday or the opportunity to play for a contender.

Even the new CBA on the table won't prevent players from having control over their destiny.

1. DeAndre Jordan

Jordan has publicly admitted that he will test the free agent market once it opens on December 9th. With an evident need for a center and big bucks on the table from the probability of the Knicks going into the luxury tax, Jordan will probably seize that opportunity.

2. Caron Butler

Even though Butler has missed the majority of last season due to injury, he will definitely be a hot name in the free agent market. Chicago and the Los Angeles Clippers have been brought up as potential destinations for the forward, but look for another large market team to sneak into the mix.

3. Tayshaun Prince

Prince has been loyal thus far to the Pistons organization, but he knows that it's time for a change since the roster has become a revolving door.

4. Glen Davis

After the Celtics franchise sent away some of its key pieces in trades last season, Davis was not the same producer in the last post season. Going to a division rival might re-energize the fire that we know him for.

5. James Jones

The Knicks understand that acquiring a 3-point specialist would definitely help their cause for contention, and Jones is definitely on the top of that list. Plus, he doesn't command much in salary, so he's definitely a realistic target.
