The FIFA World Club Cup final was Patrice Evra’s last appearance for United until January 11th, when we will take on Chelsea. Our French full-back is now serving his unjust ban for the events of ‘The Battle at the Bridge’.

He has today reflected on his time at United, looking at all the trophies he’s won, but now targets three league titles in a row.

“We need to try and maintain our ambition because I always say it’s easy to win a trophy, but keeping hold of it is the difficult part,” said Evra.

“We now have four trophies now and we are all hungry to keep hold of them. In three years at the club I have won two league titles, the League Cup, the Champions League, the Community Shield and now the Club World Cup; it’s unbelievable."

However, Evra knows that he must maintain the right attitude in training, due to expectations on the club. "I know I need to keep working hard because the people expect a lot from me - I don’t want them to say it has been an accident! My target is to win three titles in a row. To win it again would be the best feeling."

The French left-back explained how focus and dilligence are the keys to fulfilling expectations, saying: "The fans and everyone at the club expect us to do well and we have the potential to win another title this season. The most important factor is the spirit and of course we must keep working hard."
