With every player the Yankees sign the more it makes me not want to watch baseball. Being a fan of the game and not just a fan of one team, (while I do have a favorite) I enjoy the game as a whole.

However this off-season is beginning to turn my focus else where. Major League Baseball free-agency is a huge joke. While there is many big name players out there this year everyone knew that only a handful of teams would be able to sign them.

$424 million is a ridiculous amount for a team, let alone three players. There is no parody in the game anymore. I'm just disgusted thus far and sure to get worse, as the season hasn't even begun.

Free agency is just one of the problems, awards such as the MVP and Cy young are unfairly voted upon. The major markets have a majority over others. Dustin Pedroia was deserving but not as deserving as others such as Joe Mauer and Justin Morneau, and other small market teams.

Pedrioa doesn't have to carry his team on his back alone the way Morneau does everyday. Baseball is gonna lose fans until they get some order back. The more News I hear about Boston, New York, L.A. and the Angels the more I hear people turn to other sports besides baseball.

While the game will never lose all of its fan base eventually a large portion will be gone. Enough is enough.
