Rumors & Realities: Arshavin In, Toure Out For Arsenal?

Surely Cesc Fabregas' injury is a story that brings misery to the hearts of all The Gunners. Fabregas will be out for four months.

Arsenal fans might as well wave their last farewell to Silverware hopes. That is if they haven't done that already.

According to The Daily Mirror, Euro 2008 star Andrei Arshavin is tipped to make a January move to Arsenal with Zenit giving him the green light to negotiate personal terms with other clubs.

Arsenal have been linked to a host of stars who are thought to be on their way to The Emirates. One of those stars is Carlos Tevez. However, R-R is sure this piece of "news" deserves to be thrown in the rumor bin.

However, Arsenal might part with Kolo Toure who is said to be high on Manchester City's Christmas list.

The Ivorian has been warming the benches at The Emirates with pretty much everyone being picked before him-even Johan Djourou!

But Harry Redknapp intends to teach City a thing or two about spending cash. Tottenham are linked with a £15m bid Middlesbrough's Stewart Downing

Spurs will likely get their man-unless Manchester City are interested in making a bid.

West Ham's undisciplined yet talented Welsh, Craig Bellamy, is on Martin O'neill's short-list. O'neill is interested to have Bellamy in his Aston Villa squad come January.

And O'neill will likely get his man-unless Manchester City are interested all of a sudden.

Jermaine Pennant might be on his way to Scotland to play for the troops O'neill once rallied. Celtic are keen on the Liverpool winger and could pay £3m.

A deal is likely to go through for Celtic—unless City want an extra winger of course.

Robbie Fowlerhas been released by Blackburn after new boss Sam Allardyce refused to extend the striker's contract. With Torres out injured, could it be time for Fowler to make a return to Anfield? Rumor bin.

Barcelona are among the favorites to land Valencia's David Villa. However, the two clubs are still unable to agree to a transfer fee with Barcelona reportedly offering €35m for the Spanish striker.

So Villa is unlikely to move in January-unless City come knocking.

Transfer Realities

[Deep breath]

Wigan's on-loan defender Maynor Figueroa has signed a three-and-a-half- year deal with the Latics, Dundee United goalkeeper Lukasz Zaluska is set to move to Celtic at the end of the season on a free transfer.

Meanwhile Michael Owen is still not keen on extending his stay at Newcastle and is linked to everyone, including Manchester City. Shocking, huh?

And Charles N'zogbia is sick of the low ambitions and inconsistency at St. James Park. Aren't we all?

Manchester City are interested in every footballer alive. Sorry, R-R had to include that obvious fact.

A football article about transfer news is worthless—unless City are mentioned somewhere. And let's not forget mentioning Cristiano Ronaldo and his sickening affair with Real Madrid.

BREAKING NEWS: Cristiano Ronaldo might move to Real Madrid.

QUOTE OF THE DAY:

Wesley Sneijder: Real can still win La Liga!

Talk about optimism. But then again, it's holiday season. Christmas is all about the joy of well-being, the family and, optimism.

For everyone around the globe, Merry Christmas and happy holidays!

Until we meet next time,

Cheers.
