Manny Ramirez on His Way to the Bronx?

Phil HoopsCorrespondent IDecember 22, 2008

Impacto Deportivo, which is a baseball information source written entirely in Spanish, is reporting that Manny Ramirez is very close to a deal that would leave him wearing pinstripes.

The deal is reported be a three-year deal worth $75 Million.

However, both Yankees GM Brian Cashman and Hank Steinbrenner have repeatedly denied that such a deal is in the works.

Obviously, this would be a rather interesting acquisition for the Yankees, as Ramirez has been a 'bad guy' of sorts for the past five years or so to New York fans.

Without a doubt Manny, who hit .332 with 37 home runs and 121 RBIs, could help bolster the somewhat weak Yankees offense. Yet, will he be able to deal with those in the clubhouse?
