SPL Transfer News: Honduran Striker Jerry Bengston Eyed by Rangers
The Rangers' manager, Ally McCoist, is eyeing up Honduran forward Jerry Bengston as a potential January signing.
The 24-year-old Motagua striker has been in top form for his country and is attracting interest from Norwegian club Rosenborg, among others.
Bengston, who has scored eight goals in 20 games for his country in their quest to qualify for World Cup 2014, would be available for around £2.5 million.
McCoist could use the money from the potential sale of star man Nikica Jelavic, who was again linked with a £7.5m move to Leicester last week.
With Steven Naismith also ruled out for the season due to injury, Bengston could be arriving at Ibrox in the very near future.
The striker is close friends with fellow countryman Emilio Izaguirre, who already plays in the SPL for rivals Celtic.
However, with Rangers' precarious financial position, the move for the Caribbean frontman is still up in the air.
