If Canada's Olympic Hockey Team Was Picked Now...

In 2010, Canada is going to want to win the gold medal more than in previous years, as they are playing in their own country. Canada won back in 2002, but followed with a lack-luster performance in 2006.

I think that in 2010, Canada will want a quicker, younger, puck moving team that can be flashy, aggressive, and most importantly, get the job done. Right now, If I were to pick the team, this would be it.

Definately: Sidney Crosby, Eric Staal, Ryan Getzlaf, Joe Thornton, Vincent Lecavalier, Johnathon Toews, Jerome Iginla, Dany Heatley

Players to be Considered: Corey Perry, Marc Savard, Jason Spezza, Shane Doan, Patrick Sharp, Rick Nash, Simon Gagne

Definitely: Chris Pronger, Dion Phaneuf, Brian Campbell

Players to be Considered: Mike Green, Duncan Keith, Jay Bouwmeester, Wade Redden,  Shea Weber, Keith Ballard, Scott Neidermayer

Definately: Roberto Luongo

Others: Marty Brodeur, Carey Price

Possible C - Thornton, Iginla, or Neidermayer, if he plays
