According to ESPN's Mark Schlabach, Louisville could be playing the Florida International Panthers in the BBVA Compass Bowl.

The Compass Bowl is between a Big East team and a SEC team. Since two of the top teams in the SEC would likely play in the National Championship game, Florida International could take that spot.

If Mark Schlabach's projection becomes reality, this would the second time this season that Louisville played FIU and the Cardinals would certainly want some revenge.

The last time these two teams played each other was during Week 2 when Florida International was supposed to be a easy tune up for Louisville. Little did the Cardinals know, FIU had a tough defense and an elite-caliber receiver named T.Y. Hilton. Hilton caught seven passes for 201 yards and two touchdowns.

The Panther defense dominated the Cardinals for most of the game, including taking control of the game with a pick-six from senior defensive back Winston Fraser.

Things have changed since then for both teams. Louisville has won five of the last six games with a new quarterback. Florida International finished with their best record in history, as well as a ranked scoring defense and running game.

This game would be a must watch. Both teams will have a lot to play for if this matchup happens. Louisville will surely want payback and to prove to the country that their first loss was a fluke. Florida International will want to make it 2-for-2 in bowl games and to put another Cardinals' head on their mantle.
