Now We Don't Have to Face Mark Teixeira!

Hayato UwaiCorrespondent IDecember 21, 2008

The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim announced that they withdrew their offer to first baseman Mark Teixeira. This means that Teixeira will not wear the Angels' uniform on Opening Day.

This is great news for the Mariners and all the other teams in the AL West. With Teixeira on the Angels roster, they have great starting rotation in Saunders, Lackey, Santana, Garland (now free agent), and Weaver as well as good offense in Figgins, Guerrero, Hunter, and Rivera.

Now the problem is, where is Teixeira going? His home town Baltimore? Maybe the Nationals? Or the Yankees getting another star for money? Maybe the Red Sox are still offering him a huge contract? Teixeira said he will decide his new team in a few days.
