Saints, Tigers, and the Golden Fans of Bayou Land

Bleacher ReportAnalyst IDecember 21, 2008

If you're a fan of the New Orleans Saints and/or the LSU Fightin' Tigahs, then you'll really enjoy this article. If you're not a fan of either of those teams, well, we can't all be perfect.

I'm going to make a declaration right here and now, while I have your attention: LSU and the Saints have the best fans in football!

I mean, what can beat a Saturday evening at Tigers Stadium and then a Sunday afternoon at the Dome?

We have our ups and downs (see booing Jason David and Jarrett Lee), but we have more ups than downs (see Tigers Stadium, one of the loudest places to play college football). Even after our teams have been pounded and they're sporting black and purple bruises, the fans are still golden.

Who else can walk around saying, "Who Dat?" after their team has lost a very close game? Saints fans, that's who. Who else can tell Tim Tebow that he sucks after he beat LSU to death? Tiger faithful, that's who.

And since most Saints fans are also Tigers fans and vice versa, it all works out nicely.

To all of you Auburn, 'Bama, and Gators fans, ya'll never made ya'lls house move with your screamin' and hollerin'; we did.
