Fantasy Football Week 12: Tom Brady and 5 Quarterbacks Primed for Big Games

0 of 5

Week 12 has some of the most favorable matchups of the year for quarterbacks such as Matt Ryan and Tom Brady

2011 is no doubt the year of the quarterback, and Week 12 will be no exception.

With injuries ravaging defenses, quarterbacks will continue to cut through them.

Look for a big week out of these five quarterbacks.

Cam Newton

1 of 5

Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers are taking on what may be the worst team in the NFL, the Indianapolis Colts.

The Colts don't generate many turnovers, so there is less risk for Newton to turn the ball over, and high reward for him to put up big yards.

The Colts also have the 31st ranked rushing defense, meaning the Panthers will be able to exploit that early to open up the passing game.

Cam Newton will have no problem slicing through the Colts defense. He will put up big numbers this week.

Drew Brees

2 of 5

Coming of their bye week, the New Orleans Saints take on the New York Giants.

The Giants have a mediocre pass defense, and, against Drew Brees, that is not good enough.

He has not thrown for less than 250 yards in a game all season. He also has a touchdown pass in each game.

The Giants are in big trouble this week and Drew Brees will make sure of it.

Tom Brady

3 of 5

As always, Tom Brady is perhaps in the best position to put up big fantasy football points.

This week, the New England Patriots take on the Philadelphia Eagles, who have the pressure turned on high.

Brady has thrown a touchdown in each game and has thrown for more than two several times this season.

With Nnamdi Asomugha listed as questionable, things could be a lot easier for Brady.

Matt Ryan

4 of 5

In Week 12, the Atlanta Falcons take on one of the worst teams in the league, the Minnesota Vikings.

The Vikings secondary is extremely porous and now that Antoine Winfield is out for the season, there isn't really much the Vikings can do to stop anyone.

Ryan would be able to put up significant numbers in his sleep.

Since the Falcons bye week in Week 8, Ryan has thrown six touchdowns and two interceptions.

There is no way those numbers won't improve against the Vikings.

Tim Tebow

5 of 5

Yes, Tim Tebow has not been putting up big passing numbers in recent games, but he has been putting up points.

Look for that to continue as the Denver Broncos take on the San Diego Chargers.

The Chargers have a pretty good passing defense, so Tebow will look to run more often.

He will definitely put up points on the ground, and maybe, just maybe, he will put up points in the air.
