Week 12 Start 'Em Sit 'Em: Chris Long and Top 4 Replacements for Nnamdi Asomugha

0 of 4

Because Nnamdi Asomugha's status is uncertain for the Philadelphia Eagles game against the New England Patriots, it would be wise to look at another defensive player such as Chris Long or Von Miller.

There has been great play out of defensive players all season and Week 12 will be no exception.

There are several matchups that heavily favor the defense and exploiting them could give your fantasy team the extra points to edge out your opponent.

Here are four players that you could start instead of Nnamdi.

Kyle Arrington

1 of 4

While Kyle Arrington plays for the worst passing defense in the league, the New England Patriots, he is one of the best fantasy corners in the league.

He has seven interceptions on the season.

He doesn't get many sacks or score in any other ways, there is always a chance that he will pick up an interception or two.

This week, the Patriots play the Philadelphia Eagles. It is not known who the starter will be as of yet, but both Michael Vick and Vince Young are fairly prone to interceptions, so Arrington's chances at points improve this week.

Von Miller

2 of 4

In Week 12, the Denver Broncos are taking on the struggling San Diego Chargers.

Linebacker Von Miller has been having an excellent season and this week, he will be able to improve upon it.

In eight of the Broncos ten games this season, Miller has recorded at least a half of a sack.

Most likely he will do it again against the Chargers, meaning points for fantasy football owners.

You can't go wrong starting a guy as steady as Von Miller.

Chris Long

3 of 4

Chris Long is poised for a good week this week.

The St. Louis Rams play the Arizona Cardinals.

The Cardinals have given up 33 sacks and 50 quarterback hits this season, the third most in the league.

Chris Long, on the other hand, has had sacks in each of his past four games.

With Long's hot streak and the Cardinals bad offensive line, it is a good combo for Long to put up some points.

Darrelle Revis

4 of 4

Perhaps the best shut-down corner in the league is Darrelle Revis.

This week, he and the New York Jets take on Ryan Fitzpatrick and the Buffalo Bills.

Fitzpatrick has thrown 15 interceptions on the season.

With star running back Fred Jackson now out for the season, things do not look good for the Bills.

They will be forced to pass more, which means more opportunity for Darrelle Revis to get some interceptions.
