“I can’t really remember what we said to each other, but we all know he is a great man who knew how hard it was to win at Siena. He ran towards us to celebrate and I believe it was a very important gesture. Now, the championship will resume in January and we can all relax until then.” - Maicon.

After Maicon struck the winner for Inter at Siena last night, Jose Mourinho simply could not hold in his joy, running from his dugout area all the way over to the goal-scoring Brazilian in the far corner of the ground to celebrate.

Hugging his semi-naked attacking fullback, Mourinho was almost manhandled by Maicon as the pair made their way back to the pitch arm-in-arm, offering yet another memorable Mourinho moment.

Jose has previous in his goal celebrations, with his charismatic overtures coming to the fore most famously at the Nou Camp and Old Trafford.
