After all the fanfare David Beckham finally touched down in Milan yesterday to be unveiled as the Rossoneri’s latest member.

Speaking in a professional and typically-wooden manner, Beckham laid out his realistic goals for his time at Milan, saying “loan spells are a gamble, especially when you come to a club as big as AC Milan, and I’m not expecting to come here and be starting straight away. But if I’m playing then of course I’m in contention to be in the England squad. It’s great that Fabio Capello has given me the chance to play for England again.”

David Beckham’s debut press conference in Italy can be seen here.

In a second interview on a busy day for Beckham, the new Milan number 32 sat down with Italian sex icon Ilaria D’Amico, despite earlier tabloid rumours that wife Victoria banned Goldenballs from being interviewed by the presenter.

Before the one-on-one, RAI Sport put together a glitzy montage of Beckham’s career down the years as well as having all the members of the squad send their regards and make their new teammate welcome.

See Beckham’s interview with Ilaria D’Amico, and the montage, here, here and here.
