WTF?! Redkins Should Play Without a Care
The Eagles are hot, the Redskins are not. The Redskins have fallen apart in the second half of this season like a Chinese toy painted with lead red dye. Yet they're still alive. They face the Eagles Sunday, who are on fire since McNabb realized that if he sucks, he's out, and then the 49ers, who have a new coach whose look in his eyes scares the crap out of me.
But the Skins are alive, as in, not dead, thanks to the Boys remarkable loss at home to the Ravens. That's good, if not great, right? Who expected Zorn to lead the Redskins to anything more than a marginal season? Certainly not me. Yet his job security is supposedly in doubt. Really?
The late season collapse is not his fault. In part, sure. He has to be accountable for something. But in the end, it was a flurry of misfortune that undid the Skins, primarily the O-line turning into balsa wood. If he's not back next year, Danny S needs to consider laying off himself. Vinny C, too. Give the man a chance!
Skins fans, don't be depressed! Join me in taking two steps back from the ledge to realize that 2009 is another year, full of no doubt more tears, but perhaps more joy. It's the DC way. And it's not over, yet, this year! Soon! But not now.
