Clemson Tigers Climbing in the Polls

It is nice to see Coach Oliver Purnell and the Clemson Tigers finally being ranked, especially after finishing last season ranked.  They are currently ranked No. 25 AP, No. 25 ESPN/USA Today, and just as important No. 24 in the Bleacher Report.  Last week the Tigers were ranked No. 1 in the RPI ratings.

The Tigers have recently went 10-0 for the fourth straight season and now 11-0 for the third straight season. What a great accomplishment!

K.C. Rivers and Treavor Booker continue to lead Clemson, who can attack from the inside or from the outside.  They can slow it down or speed things up.  Sharp shooter Terrence Oglesby continues to be instant offense, with his quick release.

Coach Purnell has always focused on defense and this season will not be any different.  They play defense with a great deal of pride.

On Sunday the Tigers will travel to Miami to take on the Hurricanes in the season opener of ACC play.  The game will be at 7:00 p.m. and can be seen on Fox Sports Net.

Finally, Coach Purnell has a lot of fans back home in the Berlin and Ocean City, Maryland area and you can bet the entire Eastern Shore of Maryland will tune in for his  season opening ACC game.

Two of the teams in the ACC that fans on the Eastern Shore of Maryland follow are the Tigers and the Terps.  They cheer for the Terps because of Landon Milbourne, who is originally from Berlin, and off course the Tigers because of Coach Purnell.
