Where's The Hardy Boys When We Need Them? Mystery Of Mark Teixeira's Offer

When was the last time the New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox have been afraid to go after a baseball stud? The answer is never. But somehow a mystery baseball franchise has scared away the Red Sox, Yankees, Nationals, Orioles and even the Angels. Mark Texeira's offer is truly a mystery.

Who could have made such an offer? Who wants a big bat in the lineup so bad? Why are they wanting to be anonymous?

Here's some teams that could have made that offer.

San Francisco Giants- They want Pat Burrell so Teixeira isn't out of the question.

Seattle Mariners- Ichiro's aging so they need a new face of the franchise, could Mark Teixeira be the answer?

Detroit Tigers- They have the Money but it looks like they are wanting pitching more than hitting.

Toronto Blue Jays- Looked into Adam Dunn and Lyle Overbay is gone so could Mark Teixeira be headed to Canada?

Oakland Athletics- The A's more than pondered Rafael Furcal and if you put Teixeira and Matt Holliday in the same line up, you mean business.

Chicago Cubs- Looking for a big bat and they could then trade away Dereck Lee. But what happen's to Micah Hoffpauir?

Chicago White Sox- Released Joe Crede, Traded Swisher and Vasquez so it looks like they have the money to do it.

Cleavland Indians- Travis Hafner isn't himself. Teixeira and Sizemore could ignite an offense for the ages.

Arizona Diamondbacks- Lost Adam Dunn to free agency, Teixeira could be a last ditch offer.

Those are the teams that might have made that offer. The front runners are looking like Seattle, Chicago (AL), and Detroit.

Who do you think made the mystery offer?
