When I heard about CMT's, "Ride of Their Lives." I couldn't wait to see it. I have watched many Nascar specials and this is the first one that brought tears to my eyes. It took a look at Nascar's past; how racing on the beach at Daytona started. It talked about Bill France, Buddy Baker, and all the early drivers who made the sport known.
While going through all the facts and information, they had personal interviews with Darrel Waltrip and his wife, Kyle Petty and "The King", Jeff Gordon and his father, and Dale Jr and Rick Hendrick.
They talked about how the sport has evolved, how legends were made, and how legends like Dale Earnhardt, Davey Allison, and Tim Richmond were lost.
If you want to see a heartfelt look inside Nascar and everything about it, I would suggest watching this amazing documentary. They best quote throughout the whole documentary was one made about Dale Jr and Rick Hendrick,
" For a father who lost a son, and for a son who lost a father, the winners circle became a celebration of life."
