February 19th, Crispus Attucks plays Washington High School to celebrate a revival of a rivalry at Conseco Fieldhouse. The game titled, “Yesterday’s Legends, Today’s Heroes” will celebrate all Indiana High School Basketball had/has to offer. Both schools hope to re-spark a rivalry that was put out many years ago.

In 1986 Cripus Attucks was converted to a middle school and in 2006-7 it underwent another transformation to grades 6-12, a medical magnet school. Washington, closing in 1995, five years later reopened as a middle school and converted to the 6-12th grade format in 2002.

Indiana Basketball legends such as Hallie Bryant and Oscar Robertson of Attucks and Cheryl Cook, George McGinnis and Billy Keller of Washington will have their jerseys retired during the game.

Current Standings:
Attucks is 1-4 in its first season back as a boys varsity program; Washington is 1-5.
