Brewers Add Four to 40-Man Roster

The Milwaukee Brewers on Friday added four minor-league players to their 40-man roster: outfielder Caleb Gindl, first baseman Brock Kjeldgaard, RHP Santo Manzanillo and third baseman Zelous Wheeler. The moves were made to protect the four prospects from the Rule 5 draft, which takes place on Dec. 8 December at Major League Baseball's Winter Meetings. Gindl, 23, hit .307 with 15 home runs and 51 runs batted in and also compiled a .390 on-base percentage in 126 games with Class AAA Nashville this past season. He was a fifth-round draft pick in 2007.
