The Tennessee Titans hope this play is a glimpse into their future. Jake Locker rolls out and blazes a throw to Nate Washington

The Titans had to know that a Matt Hasselbeck injury was inevitable. He is great when he's healthy, but that status usually doesn't last long.

Locker came in after Hasselbeck injured his elbow earlier in the game. It didn't take Locker long to make a mark. On only his third pass, he found Washington for the TD.

This could signal the beginning of the Locker era in Tennessee. If this play is any indication, the offense may have a bright future.

The designed roll out utilizes one of Locker's strengths, which is his mobility. He also showed off the excellent arm strength he has. The rap on Locker has been his inaccuracy, but that was in check here as well.

The Falcons are up 13 points on the Titans at home, so this was a good time to get Locker some reps. If Hasselbeck is out for an extended time, this scenario will serve as an indication as to whether Locker can handle the whole weight.

Locker still has a chance to bring his team back in the closing minutes of the fourth quarter. If he is successful, or at least looks good, and Hasselbeck is out for a while, Locker could get the nod for the rest of the season.
