Watch Cincinnati Bengals WR Jerome Simpson Make Today's Coolest Catch

Kraig LundbergAnalyst IIINovember 20, 2011

There is still a lot of football left to be played in Week 11 of the 2011 NFL season, but there likely won't be a better catch for the rest of the weekend than the one made by Cincinnati Bengals receiver Jerome Simpson.

On 2nd-and-10 from his own 18-yard line, Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton faked a handoff, dropped back and heaved a pass to Simpson, who was double covered by cornerback Cary Williams and safety Ed Reed.

The pass barely cleared Williams' outstretched hand, and Simpson put the tip drill on full display, somehow making the catch past the 50-yard line for a 47-yard gain.

The Bengals ended up losing 31-24, but Simpson's outstanding catch cannot go unnoticed. Simpson filled in nicely for the injured AJ Green, finishing the game with eight catches for 152 yards.
