According to sources close to the Warriors, the Warriors are not interested in trading for Felton for either UNC alum Brandan Wright or Anthony Randolph.

That rumor was first propagated by Charlotte Observer columnist Rick Bonnell.

If the Warriors are not interested in trading for Felton, the Bobcats should continue to shop Felton with the realization that if he is not traded, the 'Cats probably won't (and shouldn't) re-sign him to a long-term deal. The team should try to receive something in return for the former top-five draft pick.

I think Portland is an option for Felton. With Steve Blake as the starter and a glut of young talent, Portland seems to be a reasonable destination for Felton or Wallace. At the Small Forward position, Portland has rookie Nicolas Batum from France and Travis Outlaw. While both forwards are legit starters, neither are as good as Wallace; while Blake is not as good as Felton.

The trade could provide young talent for the rebuilding Bobcats, while giving Portland more talent for a playoff push. Charlotte could unload Wallace's $9 million per year contract, and get value out of Felton's expiring contract.

My proposal: Felton and Wallace for Travis Outlaw, Jerryd Bayless, Channing Frye, and Ike Diogu. Portland loses no starter, while Charlotte receives young talent. Portland sends out Bayless, who wants to be traded, and Charlotte can play Bayless along with fellow rookie DJ Augustin. Outlaw can start at the three, and Frye can play a large role.
