Fulltime: Manchester City 3-1 Newcastle United

- Micah Richards 44
- Sergio Agüero 72 (P)
- Dan Gosling 89
Man of the match: Micah Richards
Solid game from the Manchester City full back who has responded well from Roberto Mancini's criticism of his football IQ.
Worse player of the match: Ryan Taylor
Gave away a penalty and was then caught in possession by an aware Richards who promptly scored. Taylor should have played like Steven Taylor, who was superb, instead Ryan never recovered after giving away that penalty. Shocking game.
Significance of this game: Manchester City are the only unbeaten side left in the Premier League. Newcastle United aren't title contenders and one wonders if they're more like Hull City's rapid ascent several seasons earlier. They were played off the park today.
90+4'- Referee Chris Foy blows full-time.
90+3'- Great block from Steven Taylor to deny Samir Nasri. Taylor is going to be waking up with a lot of bruises tomorrow morning.
90+1'- It would be amazing if Newcastle United found a way to score four goals in...say three minutes. Ok..make it two minutes.
90'- Adam Johnson's pass misses everyone.
88'- GOAL!!! Manchester City 3-1 Newcastle United
What was that? Gosh...there goes my six points (I have Vincent Kompany in my team) in fantasy. Joleon Lescott deflects the ball into Demba Ba's direction and he forces Joe Hart into a save to which Dan Gosling puts away the rebound.
87'- Newcastle United look like a broken team. They can't string five consecutive passes.
86'- David Silva is a master manipulator of the ball. So elegant yet so effective.
85'- Newcastle United SUBSTITUTION
OFF: Yohan Cabaye ON: James Perch
83'- Manchester City SUBSTITUTION
OFF: Yaya Touré ON: Gareth Barry
82'- The amount of times Yaya Touré surges through the opposing team, you just wonder, why can't he either score or provide an assist. That's the fourth time he's lost the ball after an encouraging looking dribble.
81'- The brave Steven Taylor deflects the ball away from Samir Nasri.
80'- What would cap off my day is Samir Nasri scoring a quick hat-trick. I need those fantasy points! Manchester City just controlling possession.
78'- Newcastle United SUBSTITUTION
OFF: Sammy Ameobi ON: Dan Gosling
77'- The linkup play between Adam Johnson, David Silva and Samir Nasri is a sight to behold.
74'- Manchester City SUBSTITUTION
OFF: Sergio Agüero ON: Adam Johnson
Newcastle United SUBSTITUTION
OFF: Hatem Ben Arfa ON: Peter Løvenkrands
74'- Sergio Agüero looks as if he's twisted his ankle. This isn't good.
71'- GOAL!!! Manchester City 3-0 Newcastle United.
Yes! I've got Sergio Agüero in my fantasy team. Good penalty. Poor Tim Krul.
If Manchester City pile on more pressure, the scoreline could get ugly.
70'- Immediate impact from David Silva. Smart reverse pass to Micah Richards and that's why Hatem Ben Arfa scores goals and provides assists instead of defending. Mindless challenge from Arfa who bundles Richards over.
69'- Good day today for Mario Balotelli but I'm sure he would have loved to stay on the pitch. Steven Taylor bleeding all over the place. Even with the mask, it can't stop the bleeding.
68'- Manchester City SUBSTITUTION.
OFF: Mario Balotelli ON: David Silva.
67'- It must drive managers nuts to see their defenders raising their hands hoping the linesman buys it only for the opposing player to be onside. Twice Fabricio Coloccini has done and twice he has gotten away with it...I don't think he'll third time lucky.
66'- Another excellent save from Joe Hart to deny Danny Guthrie.
64'- Sergio Agüero is in an offside position. Newcastle United players are in la la land. Yaya Touré charges forward yelling at Agüero to leave it and what does Agüero do? He touches the ball and is flagged offside.
64'- Ryan Taylor with the possession in Manchester City's box and loses it. Nothing can go right for Taylor.
