Last season the Notre Dame Fighting Irish finished off with four straight wins and an 8-5 record, one of those eight wins coming on the road at Boston College 31-13.

This season the Irish are 7-3 and ranked No. 25 in the latest Coaches’ Poll and No. 24 in the AP. Unfortunately for Boston College, the Eagles are just 3-7 and have losses to weak opponents such as Duke and UCF.

So, it’s no surprise that Notre Dame is a 24.5-point favorite and especially so since the Eagles only score 18 points per game while allowing 25. In addition, the Boston College offense averages just 295 total yards per game compared to Notre Dame’s offense of 436 total yards per game.

Plus, with the game at The Golden Dome in South Bend, IN. a place where BC hasn’t won since 2007 and only five times overall.

The Fighting Irish are clearly headed in a much better direction based on the past few seasons and also have two straight wins over the Eagles. The Holy War is the rivalry is dubbed has lost much of its’ swag in recent years and although it’s not the most popular game to watch this week, Notre Dame will roll.

That being said, expect the Irish to come out slinging and look out for their special teams play. Notre Dame is better in every facet of the game so taking the Irish is a safe bet against BC.
