According to suggested reports from the Fan 590's Prime Time Sports in Toronto, Mats Sundin has agreed in principle to sign with the Vancouver Canucks.
Prime Time Sports host, Bob McCown, told his audience shortly after 6:00 pm Thursday that the former captain of the Toronto Maple Leafs is heading west.
If true, weeks of speculation on where the Big Swede would go finally comes to an end.
On Tuesday, we learned through Sundin's agent, J.P Barry, that Mats had narrowed his decision to either the Canucks or the New York Rangers.
When the regular season began, Vancouver GM Mike Gillis offered a ridiculous two-year, 20-million deal to Sundin. It is not known right now whether that offer still was on the table.
