As the Celtics were tankin' it and everyone in the organization appeared to have their job in question, they rise again, this time with the "Big 3 Tandem" of Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett, and Ray Allen to win their 17th NBA championship.

Dream Come True
The Philadelphia Phillies win the 2008 World Series.
A 25 plus year wait was well worth it. Led by MVP Cole Hamels, the Phillies finished the Rays in 5 games, after a two-day delay for weather.
The Phillies waited to win the 5th game at home and it was followed by a parade celebrated by millions in Philly.
The Giant Loss...
Plaxico Buress accidentally shot himself in the leg, leading to season ending suspension, a receiver Eli and the Giants will miss.
