The Cleveland Cavaliers and the Miami Heat are rumored to be discussing a possible trade. Shawn Marion would go to Cleveland for Wally Sczcerbiak and Anderson Varejao.
Shawn Marion could help the Cavs on both sides of the ball, especially with his defense, being able to defend basically all five positions. He could be a great addition with LeBron James, and they could have another scorer in the P/F position.
Meanwhile, Miami Heat could use Varejao at center because their centers are struggling and Anderson is starting to make his mid-range jumpers. He already has great skills around the rim. Wade and Varejao could have a great pick-and-roll together, just as Lebron and Varejao exploited in their time together.
So far they are just rumors, but the Cavs definitely want to win a championship before LeBron is a free agent in 2010.
